The "Mothman"

Alright, so, I recently moved to West Virginia, near where the whole "Mothman Prophecies" deal went down.
Or to be more precise, where the whole origin of the Mothman is.
Recently, I was driving a friend home, and she mentioned how she once saw "him"
She described him as a giant, glowing, white thing with wings, that appeared to glide towards the car.
She said all the electronics in the car died, and that her boyfriend at the time almost wrecked the car.
They were able to still drive, but all electronics were dead (i.e. phones, radio, dashboard, etc.) and the "thing" still followed them, but farther back.
Eventually, all the electronics came back on, and he was gone.
She told me she looked up stories, and found that many people had seen him around the area and also had electrical malfunctions.
She hasn't seen the Mothman since, but she also recalled seeing a dark object flying low to the ground and possibly crashing nearby.
Now, she claims that the Mothman is an alien, and that many people claim the same thing.
I really want to see him, but I haven't yet.
So, what's your opinions?

I have read up on The Mothman and although pictures/videos are very rare, you can't ignore the amount of eye witness stories who say the same thing.
I don't think there has been any mothman reports for years, they seemed to stop after the bridge accident in West Virginia (I can't remember the name of the bridge or town but it's not hard to search it online), and I think there was also reports of a similar winged type creature with glowing red eyes near Cornwall, England.
Many people think the mothman had something to do with the bridge accident, whether it be that it caused it or that it was trying to warn people of what was about to come. The only main reports of sightings were at night when, like your friend, people were driving down lonely open roads when it would terrorise and chase the cars.
If you research the subject properly it really does become very interesting. I'm not sure what it could be, personally I think it could be a hybrid or experiment gone wrong from a military complex (if there is any nearby?). I'm not sure if there was a link between UFO sightings and the mothman, but it doesn't seem to match any other descriptions of extra-terrestrials I've heard of.
What's everyone elses opinions?

Oh man, this gives me chills.
My Dad once saw a whole caravan of military vehicles drive into like a mill or something?
I can't remember exactly, it's been 3 years since we moved here.
But there's an FBI center not far from here, and rumors of an underground military base, hence the above.
So that could very well be it.
This always excites me, I'll be attending college in another month and a half, so I'm hoping to find other eccentrics to go on trips.
I tried establishing a Paranormal Society where I live, but it fell through...

The Mothman Prophecies was a great book. I loved it.

But I didn't know that there were any mothman sightings in Point Pleasant after the Silver Bridge collapsed. I heard it was never seen in Point Pleasant again but it has spotted all over the world.

The theories are endless. I dont even know what to believe. I dont even know where to start.

Wow The Mothman. It sounds believable. If the Mothman is an alien though, I am not sure I agree with that theory. A few questions. Why would you want to see it? Would you ever think that the Mothman could ever become hostile? Did you move to West Virginia because of the Mothman. Thanks!
