"A pint-sized version of the Tyrannosaurus rex, with similarly powerful legs, razor-sharp teeth and tiny arms, roamed China some 125 million years ago, said scientists who remain startled by the discovery.
The predator, nicknamed Raptorex, lived about 60 million years before the T. rex and was slightly larger than the human male, scientists said.
The findings, to be released Friday in the journal Science, are based on fossilized remains discovered in lake beds in northeastern China. They show a dinosaur with many of the specialized physical features of Tyrannosaurus rex at a fraction of its size."

Raptorex, an amazing little T-Rex I couldn’t help myself nicknaming Trixie in the topic-title, lived about 60 million years before its biggo relative Tyrannosaurus Rex and slightly surpassed modern humans in size.
Scientists believe this 125 million year old Saurian species, basically a mini T-Rex, stood 9 feet tall, tipping the scales at about 143 pounds. This is 1/100th the size of a Tyrannosaurus Rex, and too small in a mega world to just use weight and bulk to dominate/survive. It is possible these guys went ahead and did exactly what we did: outsmart our environment and everything that lives in it? Just imagine: Raptorex being the mini-size ancestor to our modern Draco Aliens! Not at all proven, but in a crazy thought crossing my mind, Trixie the raptorex and her babies developed tools/weapons, social and self-awareness, technology and finally the ability to explore Space. Could this be the explanation why sometimes Dracos/Reptoids are seen aboard alien craft?
